Actually Ive just read my "contributions" to this thread and can only agree with jacqueline that ive come across as a totally pompous tit. I'll put it down to overtiredness and pmt (pre-mental tension as my friend puts it)

I used to be really snobby about holidays. I was one of those people who holidayed in quaint wee cottages and "gites" until I split from my ex and had to come up with a holiday for me and the children for a few hundred pounds.

I bit the bullet and went to a caravan park and my children loved it. Loads to do, lots of food outlets, evening entertainment and fabulous swimming pool. It met every single one of their needs. Okay so I personally would have preferred a gondola in Venice but at the end of the day, cultural snobbery aside, they had a great time and I was able to afford it for them.

Ha ha, we are all tits here!

I was a single mum and had years of having to make do and enjoyed every minute of it too. Trust me though when things ease up and you have a few more wrinkles and bulges, your desire for luxury will return.

I think most of us have struggled at one time or another and there is a great difference between being a snob who has never struggled and who looks down on others and one who just really doesn't want to make do any more.

I commend you my darling for admitting you are a tit, just like the rest of us here! :green:

Ditto, and DITTO!

As I said, it takes a BIG and WISE person to admit to error.
We all have off-moments, or off-days and then realise later that we stepped over the edge and WHOOOPS fell on our a** in a mud puddle.
It's all good.
As long as at the end of the day, we can all smile and laugh about it

Group hug  xxxx

Thanks Shedunlop. I have always enjoyed your posts on this forum! I think a bit of "struggling" is good for the soul and really makes you enjoy the good things in life when you do finally get there.

I went to bed last night chuckling to myself over this thread & you know what, it reminded me of SalonGeek of a LONG time ago when there was a lot more banter between people on threads.

I guess peeps do their bantering on fb now instead but it is nice now and again to have some lighthearted fun :green:

I don't really bother with FB so it is way easier for me to banter here :D Only just noticed you are in Suffolk Blue Rose - I moved to Norfolk last year ar you close by? xx

Jacqui xx

Jeez. Enough with the sausages already. You do have a fixation, you know. :wink2:

Husband at football.
Just had my sausages.

You UK girls DO love your sausage.

I actually hate sausages!!

I do however love tomato soup, rice krispies, and bacon sandwiches .. but not all at the same time.

I'm a bit of a car snob, I once dated a guy that was gorgeous, probably way out of my league but drove an old brown battered fiesta. I couldn't bear it so had to dump him.

The only things I think I'm snobby about are holidays, skincare/make up and believe it or not, pushchairs !!

Ditto on that whole post LOL

Oh yes I'm a holiday snob too.
I have to have a private villa with a private pool. I like to have my own space and completely chillax.
I hate going to the beach and I loathe sand.
I work hard though so I deserve it!
I also never eat sausages

Haha, reminds me of the time (many moons ago!) when I was at college and went out with this bloke called Damian. Some might say that was bad enough but he drove an old Panda car (remember those) Soooo not cool, lol. I vaguely remember hoping nobody would see me in it, lol
