Calgel peeling help

Hi all. I've recently done a course in Calgel and I did a friends nails on Tuesday just gone, they were very short will little to no free edge, I did say to her I thought they were too short and might not last long, she text me to say they peeled off yesterday.
I applied them the same way I want trained too and the same way I did mine 2 weeks ago which are still going strong.
Any advise?
