To those who want a payment plan to do the CND course ... Why not take out a proper loan to do the course and pay that back monthly ? ... It's the same thing only you would get your money from the bank instead of Sweet Squared acting as the bank!

Same thing when people ask for credit ... Best to use your credit card from the bank rather than your supplier acting like a bank.

Anything is possible if you are serious and want it badly enough.

Because a 17 year old student is never going to be able to get a £2000 loan lol I wish!

Il just save what I can and wait il definitely get to do the CND training one day because I'm certain it's the best training and products in the industry to become the best nail tech I can be x

Sorry, I know this wont go down well but I have to say ladies - there are many reputable training companies out there as well as CND - CND is great but its not the only product or training co in the world!
My best advice would be check with your insurer first as they are tightening up - which is great for us all!
Happy to recommend if anyone is interested - drop me an inbox email!

Why would your comments not go down well?

CND is great and it did not get that reputation for no reason. If you want great then go where great is!

Not sure what you mean by mentioning insurance tightening up? Anyone who trains with CND would have no problem at all getting insurance!

CND is not the only ... That is obvious .. But it does enjoy a well-earned reputation for being the Best. Proud to say it and so is every CND graduate.

Ask friends and family for money for birthdays and Christmas especially your 18th coming up. I trained in CND 11 years ago and still use it now. And sure I'm right in saying they are one of the only trainers that includes your kit which not sure if its still 0.8oz powder you get though when we broke it down you can get 25 sets out of it and certainly when I first trained there would have been many items or things needed that I wouldn't have though of so for that alone save save and you'll be CND trained which is highly recognised and some clients will ask for CND by name x

Evening Geeg - Mention insurance as its important, - was not in relation to CND it was a general comment and advice!

Wow you actually get the kit too with - I never realized that I thought it was the kit is supplied throughout the training period ! That makes it even more exciting. I know I can't afford to do it for a good few months yet ( prob 6 ) but I will be doing!

Yeah I'm always whining it's expensive lol but it is great quality and experience with a great kit, I don't disagree it's value for money just finding the money to do it lol which is just my problem xx

Hi,

I have spent some time reading through threads, researching online, contacting course providers and a local college but I am still really unsure of the best route. I would really like to complete a nail technician course with the aim to work for myself but need to fit my training around a full time job which is where I have had difficulty.

I have found a course I like the sound of but it is a short course and I have read that many of you really don't approve of these and for good reason as I know that becoming a nail technician is not to be able to paint a clients nails but to actually be able to perform a work of art really and nails that will last. I do my own, family and friends currently but to actually practice fully I understand that I need to be qualified.

Before I spend my pennies and regret it could someone let me know what they think of the 'Next Step Beauty College'. Have you heard of this and would you rate it. They state that they are BABTAC accredited and I have checked this with BABTAC.

They offer an intensive short course with up to 8 weeks practice time and then a review/assessment day afterwards with a diploma at the end.

It's now or never as I have been thinking and researching this for some time so your thoughts are much appreciated. Thanks

I'm studying at young nails, fantastic company, great support and learning lots. Although I agree that Cnd are good I cannot justify spending £1,600 for s course and would have struggled to save up as I dont earn very much!!!

The best bet for good training is the big nails suppliers. Young nails, harmony, cnd, nsi, ez flow. I know for some it will be about what's affordable, but its worth calling round these companies and having a chat with them. You may find one that just clicks with you and seems like the prefect option.

I'm dying to do the CND conversion but simply can't afford it. Can anyone recommend any other (cheaper) courses? I know you get what you pay for, I'm hoping to earn some money first and save it to do the CND course. xx
I totally get how you feel - it's a recession, right? Money's tight for everyone and it's not as easy to live and save at the save time as it might've been previously? It's frustrating when you're so passionate and excited - and desperate to get started!

But (you know it was coming): if you pay money to do the cheaper course, just in order to save money to pay the CND course... can you see that it's a bit of a waste of money? You'd be better saving up to get it right from the start - the same goes for any training. Buy cheap, buy twice.

p.s. if you want to do the actual conversion course (qualifications withstanding), rather than the foundation, I think you might be looking at the wrong information 'cos it's a STEAL! Seriously, give S2 a phone and they'll talk you through it :)

bless you!
