I like it and I am sure in a few months it will be like it has always been Hyperion..... Change is good and this will be a name that will have room for all the fab stuff........
Afterall I am used to name changes, they happen on here too lmfao.....
hype-hype-perion-hurray lol..... sorry couldn't resist.......xxx

Awww nooo ... I dont like it!

It doesnt sound as slick as Designer Nails & it reminds me of something like a 'washing machine spares supplier' or something!
I think its the 'group' bit that leaves me cold.
Never mind, just ignore me, Im just an old fart & time waits for no man (or nailtech) & I can see the need for the change with Nimue & A.B on board.

Heres to the future, Hyperion. :)

I remember when LCN UK changed to BCI (Beauty Concepts International) for the same reason you are having to. We all have to move with the times, but I still call them LCN, and I expect I'll still call you Creative /DN. Good luck with the expansion, and I look forward to spending even more money on the new ranges!!

I understand totaly why you had to do this but as Lucia means light you could have called it Lucia's beauty shop lol.

Anyway i like the mythology part of it and hasten to add i do call you designer nails so the name change will take some getting used to, what will happen in regards to the website links as well samantha do we need to change these or are you adding the hyperion group as an extra domain and linking it to the old one?

good luck with the expansion in that respect that can only be good for all of us.

I know Glors... it's not the warm cuddly feeling you get when you say DN... YET!!! But it will be and once again... just to reiterate... you will still call us DN or CND whether we name change or not, so don't let it bother you.

The main point is... you will start seeing the word Hyperion, and you needed to understand why. If I hadn't told you all and explained... I would have been shouted at... so, at least you are IN-THE-KNOW! ;)

Thank you Lucia (our wonderful spelling geek - I do love reading your posts and want to always give you a squeeze afterwards:Love: )... the website name will eventually change to www.hyperiongroup.com but it will once again make no difference to you... if you put in www.designernails.com it will still go to the site as we own both names. Just continue as normal; a few years down the line, we will all be used to it and it will be more natural for you to think Hyperion rather than DN... although we will still ALL think CND first.

Because most UK companies are 'distributors' for American companies or German Gel companies, it is difficult and sometimes unwise to put ALL your eggs in one basket and call yourself ... for example Creative Nail Design UK. God forbid anything happens to CND... but if it did... what would happen to us? This is why we have always been 'Designer Nails UK Ltd - sole UK & Ireland distributors for Creative Nail Deisgn'...

It has driven people nuts as to where to find CND because they know that name but NOT DN... it's like The Natural Nail Company distributes Jessica or Lena White UK distributes OPI... Lena didn't call her company OPI UK but if you want OPI you know where to find it. And so back to Hyperion... this will be the umbrella to 'house' all the brands... hope this makes sense... it is complicated but you will only see 'Hyperion' as very small writing in any ad we do... hell... did you all notice that the Natural Nail Company changed their name to Gerrard International... why, because Susan and Ian distribute other things than just Jessica... for a company such as their's and ours, it just makes sense!

I don't mind the name, I think that everything has to change to progress any further forward. People who are uncomfortable with change in general might be interested in reading a short book called "Who Moved my Cheese?" this little book really switched my views and opinions with regard to change:Love:

Hi,

Just wondering and I know this might sound like a daft question, but Creative products will still be called and labelled Creative, won't they ?

Yes of course. We don't own Creative Nail Design, we are the distributors for that brand. It is our company DN that is having its name changed to the Hyperion Group!:)
