i have to agree these people sound a bit of trouble makers if you ask me..did you get a detailed inventory when you moved in?? not just about pots and pans but about the condition of the house!! when we rented our house they did a great indepth inventory.. stating every mark on the wall and floors.. colours of the rooms, carpets and curtains, cleaness of the house. even what plants were in the garden
No he can't hun. Katapilla is correct as you have things in the property which need fixing and sorting and he has a legal obligation to attend to it! I think he is trying scare tactics with you. Many people do think the landlord has all the rights, but believe me they don't. The tenant is extremely well protected and there are many loopholes which allow you to legally remain on the property.The landlord was going to issue our two months notice to leave the property. Surely he can do this as it is in the contract that either party can terminate the lease by giving two months notice.
