Former boss slating my work

hi girls ok so as the title says,

i have just left a salon because of all the slagging off of clients and former collegues only now im in the firing line

it's been posted on fb that me nails are bad i was fully booked when i was there.

im worried as im now staring up on my own and feel my good reputation is gonna be tarnished by this vipers tongue.

any advice ??

All I can suggest is that if anyone does question you about this (e.g customers) then just say that he is being awkward because of the reasons you left (cos of the slagging off) and that now he knows you are going self employed he is worried that cos you were so popular at the salon with customers that they may all follow
Hope you manage to get it sorted and I wouldn't worry too much cos your true customers will know how good your nails are and wont listen to this rubbish

Doesn't sound like a very professional salon you were working in does it? so I would rise above their level and do what you say and start up on your own. If you do good work your clients will know this and will stick with you regardless of the vipers tongue. Don't let it worry you too much ,just prove that your better than that hun. Htp

Did you sign anything to say you couldn't work within a certain area to the salon.
This is often the case in hairdressing.

can i just say who cares if it stirs things up. They don't, your last salon isn't thinking twice about what they say about you or to whom. Advertise your little bum off get those clients in your chair new ones, old ones this is your income. What businesses don't advertise in the same areas. If they have something to say about it let them don't respond and let them make themselves look like a$$es. You don't need their permissiom or blessings

As an employer myself I would give you one piece of advise....
Whenever you find yourself in a situation like you have explained remember this ..... the bigger person always stays quiet ..
Stop worrying about other people and think about yourself.... it is not important what other people say or think .
Ignore them and just look after yourself !!! Put the whole thing in a box and put it away !!.
Good luck and remember there is great karma in this world !! x just look forward !!!

I was just about to say the same thing!! They sound a bit sad really - ignore it and concentrate on your new venture! If the comments on FB are pretty bad or get any worse the report the person - FB will give them a warning it may make them think twice before doing it again! x

Very pathetic individuals!! I agree, take the higher ground and ignore them, but report any defamatory comments to facebook and let them deal with it.

They must be very threatened by you so just do the best job you can and put them to shame
