I did some Dashing Divas on my friend and all barring 3 they have peeled off. She said it was the whole thing that peeled off ie the top and base coat. Does anyone know what could have caused this? I used everything from the kit and followed the instructions in the kit. The thing we were wondering was she has quite flat nails and she works in a hospital and so is useing alchohol gel alot ie about 40 times, could this affect it? I am still testing this out on my friends before having paying clients, mine have been on since Friday and seem to be fine.:(

Hi I bought some DD on Monday I tried them on myself and they was fine until Saturday and two chipped. I have also tried them on two of my friends and didn't seem to last well at all in fact just two days ;-( I also followed the instructions:(

I know a few people on this site have been using them with Shellac and they seem to last longer, Maybe try using CND Gelbond glue, again I have read something on here saying that people don't have any problems when using it with that glue.

I am going to give them another go, and fingers crossed they do last longer!!!;)

Hi,

I had problems with the glue so changed to gel bond (CND) which was much better, BUT I have also had problems with a client with ski jump nails and a client with very flat nails.
I think the DD works better if it can stay in it's origional shape! dunno if that's right, as a good glue should sort that out, but that has been my experience so far xx

I too had much better results when I changed to gelbond....saw a client this morning and she has hers still on two weeks later, with just one tiny chip...

I can't wait to use them with Shellac...when the lamp finally arrives!

they are amazing with shellac, AMAZING!

You really need to apply a generous amount of glue, both to the nail plate and to the dashing diva tip, and be especially careful to ensure good coverage of glue at the sides (ears). I've also changed to gelbond and its much better. hth

I actually think the blue hand sanitizer she has to use so much at work DID contribute to the DD coming off so soon...DD that i have done using only the kit (no gel) lasted 10-14 days before any chipped...and even then it was only on 2 nails and very slight. I also agree with Nail Envy above about making sure the ears are securely adhered and the adhesive applied to both the DD and the natural nail.
