Ok, we are getting a new puppy hopefully beginning of September, they are ready mid August but we'll be going on holiday for 2 weeks then so the breeder has kindly agreed to hang on to it until we get back.

We are really struggling with a name...... We are hoping for a boy so are mainly trying to think of boy names. We dont want anything common like patch, trixie, golidie etc etc......more something unusual lol.

My husband has come up with all sorts of weird and wonderful names like 'Voodoo' 'Hendrix' 'Moose' and to top it off......... Warren!!! PMSL!!!

I like things like 'Humphrey' 'Mojo' 'Munch' 'Duster' Lol....

HELP, the puppies are due in 9 days time!! to give you an idea of what the dog will look like, i've attached a pic of a puppy and one fully grown, its an alaskan Malamute and they are like Huskies (snow dogs)

How about Milo - I love that name xxx

Oooh, some good ones there! Hubby's pleased someone else likes Warren! lol

But he's not a Siberian Husky, Hes an Alaskan Malamute :green: There is a big difference.... and they dont have blue eyes....they do dig and shed kittens though!! :Scared:

Talking about Wombles, how about Womble?? pmsl - what were the other wombles called?

I'm obsessed! every second of every minute of every day I am thinking about names, its worse than naming the kids!

Now please don't take this as an insult in any way shape or form, but just in case, have you read up on this breed and know what you're getting in for?
They are HIGH maintenance dogs that need to RUN every day... among other things.
Let me know if you need info, I can get it for you. I had one.. speaking from experience here LOL

Not at all, we have read every thing we can get our hands on. We have been to meet owners with these dogs and been to see the mum and dad on more than one occasion. The breeder let me go out walking with her and her two dogs so I could get an idea of what that is like (they arent very dog friendly) that is the only thing that slightly worries me, not the furballs and digging, but other peoples dogs coming up to it  we will take it training from day one and may get a rig which is a buggy type thing on wheels that they pull along, there are working clubs that we can join, dont get much snow here normally...

How about d fer ????

D fer dog lol x x x x

thats funny, hubbys suggested Doofer, as in that'll 'doofer' a name... lol

My friend has two somoyed huskies - one called Doobie and other Frank. I have to say Frank really suits him!

Don't call him Warren, my ex was called that and he was a Gitbag!!!

I like Mylo as someone said before, storm, Max,

i'll keep thinking x

How about Arc ....for Arctic

Or had a quick look on Google (I cant believe you got me at this!)

Nuti ... Alaskan body of water.

Dena .... Dena’ina native Alaskan villiagers.

Kenai .... Kenai Peninsula meaning "The Good Land."

Schwan ... Glaciers south of the Tasnuna River

Thunder ... Small valley glaciers near Thunder Creek, north of Cleve Creek, northcentral Chugach Mountains.
