What is the best way to get new clients ,, I currently am just using word of Mouth and my facebook page ,, which means I’m just getting friends of friends. I would love to get more clients but I’m stressed about doing them as I qualified last year and I have had two terrible salon jobs which means I’m terrified at going back to one. And how can I boost my facebook ??

Best thing I ever did was set up a website. I gained new clients fairly quickly and was fully booked by forth month in business. It especially helped fill my daytime slots (as some were older clients that don't use Facebook but do use the internet / google). Now I don't rely on my website as much but in the early days it was essential ...plus it has an online booking system and also takes deposits. I'd be lost without it.

I do have a Facebook page and have gained a few clients from it but in my area its mainly cheaper places / deals / offers etc. so I personally don't rely on Facebook to gain clients. However if it works for you then make sure you are posting regular content. Post plenty of photos of your work / products / surroundings (if you work from home) and never use stock images.
Ask your clients to leave reviews on your Facebook page once they've visited - this will look good to those who stumble across your page and see that you're good.
Make sure you have your price list on there too. I can't stand it when I find a therapist I'm interesting in but they don't have a list of their services or prices.

When I first started out I did a leaflet drop in the surrounding areas. I only got 3 new clients from it (out of 500 leaflets!) but they became regulars and they still visit me now, plus over time have told others so it was probably worth it.

I know its frustrating but it takes time, especially word of mouth and gaining regulars. Don't give up.

I did the website myself with Wix. Its fairly easy to do in my opinion as you use their pre-designed templates - so all you have to do is add your own text and images. They have tutorials to help if you get stuck and even help you with SEO ...so you're found on Google. Don't get me wrong it takes time to set up and I imagine its a lot quicker to use a professional but I didn't have the funds when first started out.

I think I pay around £9.40 a month but they also do cheaper and more expensive plans depending on what you want.

I agree with Jemma. It is hard but have faith and keep going at it.
I also did my website on wix.com. Very easy to use and you can change whatever you want, when ever you want.

Referral scheme.
Promotional day around pay day ( i.e. lash lift friday - offer it at a discount and hopefully booked out all day!)
I wrote personal letters to employees of local business with a try me 20% off flyer i.e. dentist, estate agents, shop assistants local schools asking to put flyer on their notice board

You have to think out of the box and look unique and catchy. Also be yourself. people will also buy into you because they like you.

Good luck!
