Does anyone recall learning this.Where you would do a facial and for the mask you would put on a warm oil gauze mask and put a infra red lamp over the top.It was supposed to be good for aging dry skin...which it was the skin always came out glowing and soft. Never ever did it again though after college.

I was watching a programme yesterday about the next big things for Hollywood celebs to stay beautiful and guess what it was infra red. They used a hand held device. They said if you have a few, it rejuvenates and is as good as a facelift, as it increases collagen production. So dig out your infra red lamps if anyone still has them.

We never did this on level 2 beauty training, dont know if they do it on level 3 either these days.

Would be interesting to find out why they stopped being as popular.

hi

i did not do it in level 2 or 3 and i only finished my training last year.

And personally i have never heard of it.

it was covered in my facial training although i only did one of these for my assessment

the results are very good

I did it on my vtct, along with gauze and parafin wax, I recieved one too:), is very good for dry skin and for pampering, good in the winter months or when your skin has been exposed to too much sun over the summer months

Neither level 2 or 3 at my college - but it sounds lovely!!:)

Ah the good old hot oil mask, yep we covered that a few months ago in my level 2 VTCT training.
