Hi just a quick question i have reganrding insurance here in the uk.

I have previously been self employed and obviously had insurance for my business back then my current and other previous employers have insurance to cover all the spa therapists but would i be best to take out my own just for me?
Ive never really thought about it before.
I had a bit of an accident last year which left me with a fractured wrist , a 5 weeks sickline and now a few aches and stiffness and some girls from work had mentioned insuring their wrists/hands.
Is this an option does anybody else have this and would it be worth it?
Any information would be much appreciated! :)

If you do only work inside salon then you are cover for work you do inside salon. If you do work outside of salon you need your own proffesional insurance.
Insurance for your hand is not same as professional insurance this is specialty disability insurance. I do not have but I know doctor who have this insurance. I do not know if this is worth cost to insure special body part and disability insurance alone maybe good enough for secure yourself in case of not be able to work anymore.
I am not specialist in insurance this is just things I heard or told from other people. My advise is to look to insurance companys who give disability insurance plan and talk with them what this cover to see if maybe you can be ok with this or if body parts is needed to insure.
You say you had wrist injury already before? This you will have to tell to insurance company and maybe this make you have to pay more for your insurance or they maybe wont give you insurance. Where I live you can get in trouble for lying about being healthy to get insurance when you already had problem with health. There was story recently in news about man who got insurance when he already was diagnose with cancer but say he was healthy so talk with insurance company honestly to see what is best thing for you to do.
