Konad-all you need to know and your favourite pics!

Thanks ladies for sharing your wonderful pics, some really beautiful designs :Love:I'm really jealous as I still cant get mine to work right. I'm still having major issues with getting my Bio Sculpture UV top coat to seal over the Konad special polish - it's like the polish repels the UV top coat, so after I've cured and then wipe off the sticky at the end it just removes some areas of the stamp :cry:
I've posted in this thread previously, the Konad group and the Bio group hoping that someone can help but still no joy - does anyone else use Konad with Bio? There must be someone that can help put me out of my misery!!

One lovely geek did suggest that I put the stamp onto a layer of sealer gel as this worked for her - but alas, bits of the stamp still wiped off (which is sooooo annoying as I then have to file for ever to get the UV top coat and leftover bits of stamp off).

Any suggestions would be most appreciated, don't want to beg but I'm getting desperate!!!

I am sorry you are having problems. I don't know anything about Bio, I hope some of the other geeks can help you out :hug:.

Hi guys, haven't been on this site in a long time so not sure if this is how i post!! What i'm wanting to know is if anyone knows if there is any other site that the bundle monster plates ship internationally? As amazon wont ship them to my country (NZ)!!!! Bummer because my konad obsession is getting crazy and need a bundle monster fix! Haha thanks lovely's!:lol:

I've just started and my scraper is scratching and so don't know what I am doing wrong - please help xxx

I and quite a few other geeks use plastic scrapers. If you can't find one try a used gift card or expired credit card.

I ordered set c konad and a m57 plate plus top coat a pink and a black special polish in they arrived today (super quick konad) I've just tried them out and is it just me or do you get polish, especially black EVERYWHERE!! seriously my hands are tinged black :-s maybe I'm doing something wrong but I can't use these in salon if I'm gonna look filthy!! :-s please help!!

LOL this gets better with time and once you work out your "system".
I like to clean the stamper and plate between every nail. I use q-tips as they are easy to hold and I can use one end to clean and the other to dry.

Oh mrsp, how do you do the konad with bio? Clear, 2x colour, konad then sealer or something? Do you wipe before putting konad on or put it on sticky layer?

Base. Cure.
Colour. Cure.
Colour. Cure.
Sealer. Cure.
Stamp onto sticky layer. This way if it goes wrong, you can wipe it off without affecting the colour.
Float slightly thicker coat of UV over Konad. Cure.

I am having a problem with stamping on the free edge. I don't know why but I keep either missing the end of my nails or the stamp "slipping" a bit (if that makes sense?).

Evaperk and picchi - I LOVE your nails! Beautiful! And Picchi, I'm glad you mentioned the plastic scraper/credit card method because i'd resorted to using plastic so I didn't scratch my beloved plates (I just wasn't brave enough to admit it!). I really need to get a blank credit card though as I really can't use my matalan card on a client :green:!

Fabulous! As for the free edge, yes I just spent 20 minutes with one stamp on a pop trying to get it right, it's the french made out of little hearts x

A couple of weeks ago my niece had wanted tiger print wraps on her toes but I couldn't get the darn things the right shape so she ended up with gel and stickers (which she loved).
After she had gone and I stopped beating myself up, I went through my plates and thought about using this stamp in black over gold foil to get the same effect but I wasn't sure if it would give me what I wanted. After seeing your beautiful nails I now know it will so watch this space as I feel some playing is on the horizon:biggrin:

After seeing all your pics, I had ordered some konad plates and varnish. Waited for postman this morning for only a plate and a varnish to turn up, no stamp or scraper. GUTTED!! Have to wait till tomorrow now xx

Hihihiihi :lol: No it doesn't look too professional but you could just tell the client that you don't want to scratch your plates so that you can continue to give the best stampings in town :wink2:

Oh my goodness don't get me started on the decorative French tip designs. They are the bain of mu konad existence. I want to use them so much but I can't get them all centred, not wonky and beautiful like other geeks do and it makes me C.R.A.Z.Y!!!!
