New spray tanning video

Hey!

Take it on the chin???! I have! You have made points and I explained why and how things were done as they are. No more, no less - I think that I have politely replied to various points (despite the veiled paedophilic comment and reference to 'perv', both of which I think are totally uncalled for). Yes I asked for comments, which you and others gave and I am discussing them with you all! It would appear that some people here don't like their opinions questioned. This is supposed to be a discussion board after all!

The bit about Americans - no need for anyone to take offence - different cultures have different attitude to different things.... e.g. mixed saunas in some Nordic countries are fine but would not be applicable in others. I did say that 'prudish' wasn't the right word but I couldn't think of a better one, I suppose just a different level of what is acceptable and what is not in different part of the world.

Five minutes ago I just took a booking from a lady for Ladies Day at Ascot - she didn't seem bothered in the slightest that I am a guy - different strokes I guess.

I fail to see why (whatever individuals views are on the video) people are getting a bit uppity which is a real shame. Never mind.

So how exactly was my reply to you upsetting or rude or otherwise to cause you to say you won't bother?? I just explained my reasons to your points thats all - and yes, your post WAS more constructive than some of the others.

You said in your first post that you hoped we like your video... that is equal to asking for opinions of your video.

Not everyone will agree with you, it's the way of the world and we should all learn to accept the fact that we won't all have the same viewpoint.

Nobody wishes to have an argument about this, if a full blown argument starts or tempers get too hot then I can guarantee you that this thread will be closed.

What you must appreciate (in my personal opinion) is that there will be a lot of females who will choose not to have a man doing their spray tanning, a lot of women are self conscious of their bodies and feel more comfortable in the presence of a woman when standing there in their undies or a bikini, add to that the final part of your video and you've lost a large percentage of your potential clientèle.
If you remove the final part after the before and after photo's then I think your potential clientèle would increase.

I hope you see where I'm coming from.

Yes, I agree! But again, people saying "next time I wont bother" obviously don't seem to agree with you!

Of course I appeciate not all women are happy with a guy - I even mentioned earlier that I have in the past had 2 who didn't want a guy. Likewise, many are totally happy with it.

I have to say that aside from the extremely cheesy music... which can no doubt be tweaked... I think it isn't bad!

I don't think the girl looked embarrassed (someone else mentioned this in a post above) for any other reason than she didn't get her hair bobble out quick enough for the camera!

I would have to say that the video is extremely long and I would have liked it better had it stopped after the pictures of the girls came out - that is more than enough. You have got your point across. The end bits, although more amateur than tacky/porn... are just not necessary. I got bored nearer the end.

My overall opininon would be, ditch the irritating music... or make it so it doesn't play so loud over the film... and cut it short a bit sooner!!

i watched it from beginning to end, but had the sound off,
i watched it before i read any comments
i thought it was interesting as ive never seen spray tanning done before

on the whole i thought it was informative and not once did i think, "ohh err theres a man doing it!!"
i thought it was interesting, and the end bit made me laugh,
may i have found it different if id had my speakers on ? i dont know,
but personally i thought it was fine,

OK... I may be totally getting my backside kicked here but, as you know, I do tell the truth and shame the devil as it may be.
A lot of girls that I spray love me because I really don't care if they look like supermodels or if they are clinically obese. Who cares what they look like? What I look at is the tan and how good it is.
They like me because they feel at ease with me.
A man CAN do this job but there will always be the worry in the back of some ladies minds about it.
The video was ok. BUT...
It did show touching the skin AFTER the spray which I don't like....it messes things up with the tan and can cause it to be patchy.
the music was not that bad tbh it was just the end of the vid that made me chuckle....I wasn't offended but thought it was a bit bad taste, but I understand the need to be different and to get "noticed".
I honestly do understand the need to show the white "bits" but maybe it could be shown a different way.
After all girls...we do show the white bits to our friends after a spraytan just to prove our point...don't we??

I watched it yesterday, without sound, so I think the porn thing was lost on me too.

I was interested in the technique, totally different to the way I spray.

I liked how you used two different skin tones.

When the girls took their bikinis off at the end,obviously they didn't want any white bits.! I don't remember the bit about the bikini over the lense.

I had a demo tan done by a man back along and no way wouldI have taken my bra off, I wouldn't like to have a spray tan done by a hetrosexual man, I had enough man stuff with a recent pedicure.... if he was gay, then that would be different.....jmho

porn are you all serous, how are you suposed to be spray tanned in your polo neck jumper i thought the videio was very good it didnt put me off and it told you everything you need to no, the different girls for different skin tones, the white bits showed later showed how the tan developed, and the tan looked alovely coulor, and was even, i thought it was good and fun not like your normal stuck up spray tan vidieo that are boring well done and thanks for shareing your vidio with us:hug:

Thanks. I am glad that it was noticed that the end is about the girls not wanting any white bits (which IS the twist) rather than anything dodgy.

Again a comment about them touching their tans. Yes, you are absolutely correct Judy that in real life it is a big no-no, but in this case, it is just for a vid so has to be ignored by us in the know.

i saw the video without sound so dont know about the music
being as it was a man didnt bother me in the slightest as that is the fifth bloke i now know that does spray tanning as a living.

The music is fine, there is nothing wrong with the video at all.

I watched it and saw exactly what it was " a promotional tanning video" not some sleezy cheap thrill.

Being professional doesn't mean you have to be boring - a funny twist at the end to get people talking - hhmmmm think it did the job.

I've just watched this video you're all talking about and it's by NO MEANS porn ish! I think we need to get this into perspective. TS has asked us to have a look and see what we think, so we have, but don't forget, most of us are looking at the video from a critical point of view. Potential clients that log onto TS's site and see the video will, in my opinion, be delighted to get a bit of insight into what to expect from their spray tan if they've never had one before. I know it would be of interest to me if I was searching for a spray tan. Also, TS IS A BLOKE, or did someone miss this?? It would've been a bit dumb of him to use a girl in his demo!!

There are Hollywood blockbuster movies out there that have won a whole heap of oscars, can we honestly put our hands on our hearts and say that we've all watched them and thought they deserved the oscars they've won? I don't think so. This video is a little demo for clients, it does just that job, so what's the big fuss about?

It's a great idea TS, I wish I'd thought of it. Good luck - I hope you get gazillions of clients!

i only spoke to a male tanner yesterday dont know them personally but i know of quite a few
I have a friend who is a male that spray tans and is also a beauty therapist but only for men as he lives near the gay village and does a roaring trade, he will do women but he prefers men

I totally agree with what you've said. Yes, we are all most definitely entitled to our opinions. My perspective on this is, that TS's video isn't a Hollywood Movie, but I got the impression that's what some of you guys were expecting, as there were comments such as 'amateurish'. Also, you are right in saying that potential clients won't all have the same opinion, I was just saying if I was a potential client I would see the video for what TS wanted it to be - something informative for his clients.
