Hi I don't know if anyone can help, I've recently done a nail sculpting course training in Nsi balance gel. The nails seem fine until they start to grow and then the sides start to come away from the natural nail. I also have the same problem if I put gel over the natural nail but the gel peels from the top instead?
I prep the nails well.
Any ideas? Thanks :)

There could be many issues that may cause this, If you take a picture of the nails from above , from the side and down the barrel of the nail it would really help to pinpoint what is going on.

However for the time being , here a few points to consider:

Is the gel coating completely flush with the nails at the side walls? Can you catch a ledge of gel with your finger tip? If so this is the reason why its lifting, Also cuticle loves to hide in the sidewalls of the nail so make sure you are completely removing it, I use a curette for this and find it brilliant.

For the gel peeling from the top , are you capping the top of the nail with every layer, if not this may be your issue. Also over capping the nail can cause this issue, you really only need a little swipe of gel to barely encase the tip :)

Great thankyou, next time I do a set I'll take photos. I'm always quite careful with the cuticle and capping the tip but I will check my edges as that might be it. I was just thinking I wonder if I'm applying to much primer, do you think that could make it come away at all? (I find it frustrating that it's every nail so I must be doing something wrong) :s

yes, primer should always be used sparingly :)
