This is a biology study done at the U of Mcgill in Canada. If you're not interested in reading all 100 or so pages, feel free to skip to page 81 where it states

And in this study, you can see that a couple of the test subjects had bacteria in the paraffin. some, but not all. and using a simple sanitizing spray actually cause MORE bracteria to grow, so a strong disinfecting spray for hands or feet is neccesary, if that's the route you choose to take.

Again, as I stated before, I don't want to be the one salon out of ten that has the bacteria in the paraffin. Relative safety and low chance don't have any place in MY spa.
