Hi good evening,

I'm Sam and have just found Salon Geek which I'm excited about as everyone seems so helpful on the threads I've read so far.

I'm building up my portfolio to get ready to go 'live' with my business. I've come across the website Shedul which looks great for keeping track of all appointments, money etc but as it says its all free I'm a bit dubious. I guess because nothing is really free nowadays, I can't help but think there may be a catch? Does anyone here use this system? Is it really free? What are your thoughts on the system? It's only me working from a home salon and mobile, so is this suitable or is this system more for bigger salons?

Its nice to meet you all :)

Hiya and welcome :)

It is indeed free and popular :)

I have switched to shedul about 3 months ago, and it’s free, you get free text appointment reminders and you can access from anywhere any device, which is either a good thing or a bad thing.. [emoji23] it works like any other software does, but it’s free for a reason, It doesn’t have a petty cash button, but iv been told they are working on that. It doesn’t work out your tax/VAT but for the little things you might miss, being completely free makes up for it. I hope that helps

Hi Sam! As I know, it's really free.
As for me, I'm with Tap2Visit. It's kinda simple, but I need just to submit clients and run the daily schedule so it fits well.

Thank you for your replies :)

I will have a look more into it then now I know I won't sign up and be stung for a fee afterwards ;)

Now just to work on figuring out a pesky business name, that seems to be a headache all on its own ha

It is free I used it for a while, however I now use Setmore as I can schedule slot blockers for time off and much more
