hi, can anyone help me ? ime looking into training in spmu . is anyone a spmu artist out there who can tell me if its a successful career path? is there much work around ? i need to try and do some research before i make an investment. any ideas please would be welcome . zeus x

Hi I dont actually do semi perm makeup but I have a girl that comes to my salon and rents a room from me doing it. She gets a few clients with me and works in a couple of other salons too. It seems to be getting more popular now which is good. Do you have your own salon or would you be doing it mobile? With mobile at least you could rent a couple of hours in a few salons in your local area? Maybe ask in other salons if they have had any interest in it or ask your own clients

It definately is becoming more popular.........Even though I had lip liner done 5 years ago. I would have more done again.
I love the wake up with some make up already on look.

We found the market was flooded with poor work years back, its all over the place, so we just get experts in for all specialist things.
We would see it come in the salon for stuff and it was not good, so we looked into getting someone in, freelance, checked a few people out and had them come in they were just not good enough, some had been doing it years, others not so long.
There was no way we was going to let our regular and loyal clients have poor or average work, its something you have to think about as they are your clients!
We have Heidi Worman now and she is amazing, she has used our place for clients from Scotland, cornwall and all over, they travel for her.
If you have someone come in your salon be very choosy, as I will not trust anyone but her now.
