i check my rep quite often, its a habit that i picked up in the early days of the site.
i was always so worried i might upset someone or say something out of turn, i checked all the time to see if i had NEGATIVE rep !
and although we now dont have neg rep, its just a habit to check.

i always rep if i read a post and think 'yes, i couldnt have put it better myself'
or if theres an answer where i think 'why didnt i think of that'

and i also appreciate when people point out that a situation can be seen from a different perspective.

I must admit I have been a bit lazy on giving rep atm but usually I do it if I think someone has given me great advice or has made me chuckle or has just been there for me in a special way.

Click on Control Panel under My Profile and the last five reps you received will show up.

I always give rep when someone helps me in a thread - my way of saying 'thanks'. Like others, I use it when something really strikes a chord with me.

I also appreciate geeks who are willing to voice a professional yet opposing voice in a thread when the bandwagon is headed in the opposite direction. That is always rep-worthy too.

These are the best Geeks around and will now be getting rep points from my corner of the room (cos I know how to do it now)..not wishing to go off topic but I do notice the "lemming"effect myself on a number of threads and some brave soul dares to go against the heard gets slated...so lot's rep points will be comming to those brave individuals:hug:
