Hello,

I had a spray tan a few days ago with the solution couture i done my usual routine etc but when i had it done left it 1 day to develop my arms are still very pale but everywhere else is a nice tanned colour, so i then sprayed over my arms again and left it a day to develop and its still really pale i dont know whats wrong it normaly goes on lovely everywhere really nicely tanned.. has anyone have any clues as to why its doing this wen it never happens? thanks

Who did the tan? I am confused?? You or a therapist?

If it were you I'd say you missed your arm out and haven't sprayed close enough

If it were a therapist that did it ask her to re-spray the area

Was the area moisturiser free, was the skin exfoliated. Sometimes there are areas that dont take as well. Its worth noting on consultation, so that next time that area can have two or three coatings. xx

I sometimes find also that spray tan doesn't seem to develop as well on some areas, especially the breasts. So I did some research and found the answer! Make sure you exfoliate AFTER rinsing shampoo and conditioner out of your hair. Shampoo and conditioner that contain silicone leave a residue on the body that will prevent absorbtion of tanning product. Easy Huh!

Is it the time of the month for you, hormones can effect the result of your tan ?

Thanks thats worth listening to will keep that in mind.

It was the time of the month yes, but it did not arrive which is very very unusual for me as it always does, but did two tests and not pregnant so im one confused person right now lol x

Cant help with the pregnancy test hun only advise i can give there is to go to the doc`s and get them to test for you, & i hope you get the answer that YOU want,
either way pregnancy or time of the month will have your hormones out of balance and i bet this is where the problem lies

Try doing a test in a week, I did four with my second baby including one at the docs, they were all negative, it was me who realised I was pregnant when I started bloating. So 5 tests later only ONE came up positive! And three of them were clear blue?

wow i bet you was soo confused, i may well be not sure as i only did 2 cheapy tests, so ill either wait for next month or do another one soon xx

It may be as obvious as the solution wasnt mixed/shaken to start with. Along with not applying enough which is easily done when your are attempting to do yourself.....why are you waiting a whole day to see the colour?

It could be your prep in that particular area....im sure if you did it again it would be ok, even better ask your other half/a friend to spray you!!

If you have sprayed yourself, sometimes it can be because you havent sprayed enough on, but I spray myself all thetime and you get to know how much to put on, how much is coming out of the gun etc.
I agree with most of the replies you have had - just be careful when exfoliating, moisturising etc thats why COUTURE had its own range of aftercare with the correct ingredients in, to prepare the skin for the tan and to prolong it too.

I didnt tan myself my sister is a spray tan technician and she uses couture. She always tans me it was normal at first, but that one time it went light.
Its going on ok now its back to normal, i think it may be where im so used to being tanned all time that im not noticing how brown i really am anymore. xx
