I trained in hair extensions back in July. Since then I've had one client who is a repeat one.
I am Advertising frequently, paid for Facebook promo, offering a deal pretty much as cheap as I can go (was advised on the course not to go too cheap/not to publicly advertise paying for hair only)
advertising publicly etc but it's getting me knowwhere.
I don't know where I am going wrong?
I physically cannot build a portfolio to advertise if no one is willing to have their hair done.
I absolutely love Doing hair and don't want to give up but really feel like I'm wasting my time at this point.

Never discount in my opinion. Hair extensions are a premium service, make sure your offering stays looking premium.

Facebook clients are normally on the cheaper side and not your ideal market.

Try Instagram and make sure you have a fantastic website.

Also, this is a bad time of year to start I’d imagine. Everyone would of been booked in with their usual places months ago.

Keep your chin up and keep going. Can take a couple of years to build a client base and hair extensions are an expensive luxury for most people so harder to gain clients. Good luck :)

Thank you! Completely agree and Exactly why I don't want to go too low for pricing for that reason.

I do know there's not very many if at all extensionists in my area, hopefully with more perseverance it will take off x

Personally I feel that hair extensions are pretty niche still and clients can be very un loyal in the mid end to cheap price range. Set prices higher or mid end and build people slower. Don’t be too harsh on yourself it’s only been 6 months
