Has anyone here seen Tammy Taylor's instructional videos? Is it only me, or are they enough to drive you batty?
All that hand waving.. and that weird slow way of speaking like a mother to a 5yr old. I couldn't pay attention and lost alllllllllll interest in the topic and couldn't stop thinking "when will she STOP waving her freaking hands and talk like a normal person?!"

I've seen several video's and tuts for this industry, but nothing like this.
They were reminiscent of shows on tv at 2am where some lunatic is trying to get you to buy some training package to learn how to make 1million a year from home.

Has anyone purchased her regular videos and are they decent and do they offer much information? Or are they a repition of the same hand waving and slow talking like I'm missing a few brain cells?

Just curious what others thought.

hahaha :green: your funny if you look to much to the video,s one her site you start to speak like her for real:eek: I have for real:smack: And now i stop looking so much.I am speaking like mi :green: jipie O i love wen she jels so funny cracks mi up:lol:

I've watched a couple of her videos on her site and they didn't bother me....of course this may be because I don't have a sound card and couldn't hear anything  I really watch for the sculpting technique...maybe it's good I don't have a sound card !

my daughter aged 7 does a great tammy taylor impression:lol:
the video clips on the web site can be a bit much. however, i have nothing but praise for the proper full technique videos. perfectly clear, close up shots and she shows every step, unlike some vids that do 1 nail and then just cut to the next step. and because it is her doing the nails, she doesnt get a chance to do all that hand waving and she commentates throughout in a normal way !

ha ha, thats so funny, just watched about 2 minutes of a video on her site. I get what you mean about talking so slowley like shes talking to children.

I dont think i could watch this for long lol

Glad you said that. I thought it was me, I can never remember a word she has said

Ok, glad to know I'm not nuts and that they are a bit offputting LOL

Interesting point about her other vids and her unable to wave hands about as she's doing the nails. And you say she talks normally?

Ok, might consider getting one then.

I've heard much mention of her vids on other sites, so I was wondering if they were really THAT good, ya know?

thanks for your input everyone.

I have all of the videos and they are all fabulous.

while i find her videos very in depth and informative, i hate looking at her hands because i find those huge ostentatious rings on her fingers so distracting. why does she have to wear them? are they symbolic of something? i think they take away from the beauty of her nails cuz you keep getting them rings right up in your eyeballs.:irked: it bugs the dikance out me and her fluttering her hands up and down all over the place does not help to lessen the pain of seeing those rings. one ring would have been fine .. her wedding ring

could someone please tell me the wed site address for tammy taylor, i would like to have a look at it but i cant seem to find it anywhere. please!!

Totally agree. And her websight videos ALWAYS end with the sales pitch. I have watched too many and have adopted her hand thingies:mad:

Just a simple question....
If you made millions of dollars from your nails would you then turn around and sit on your hands?
Some people just talk with their hands. She's not being "showy". She does not hire actors to do her Nail Party Videos. It's her - being herself, doing what she does best. If she waves her hands, so be it.
I have seen people talk with their hands and I want to grab those hands and say, 'you need a manicure before you finish this conversation!' Ms. Tammy does not have this problem, her hands are beautiful all of the time!
And if you sit back and listen to what she has to say then you might even learn a thing or two about nails.

CLEARLY Tammy Taylor knows her 'stuff' and is a savvy business woman. She's very well known and obviously 'doing it right' to keep prospering as she does.
I NEVER questioned it, nor doubted her abilities, skills etc.

My initial question was whether anyone else had problems watching her videos because they drove me insane.
Now whether or not this is because I'm the kind of person that can NOT stand any kind of fluff and want's people to give it to me straight and get to the point, I couldn't say.

I only wanted to know if others were as distracted as I, and had as hard a time paying attention.
In my original post I even asked
Has anyone purchased her regular videos and are they decent and do they offer much information?

My questions have been answered.

THANKS:!:

I have been doing nails for over 25yrs. Started with TT, & most certainly will end , using TT.
Tammy Taylor is "the nail tech for nail tech's." She has a huge empire, & is the CEO & Presidant of her wonderfull company. TT has the best ever education for nail techs, bar none. She makes sure, you have everything, to be the best nail tech & to futher your nail career . She has brought to your nail table, what she learned & is willing to pass all that education on to us.
I have tried most nail products on the market, not all, but, way to many. I have attended class, from CND, OPI, Yn, NSI, Ezflow, to name a few. Nothing compares to the class or the nail products you have to work with than with TT.
Sure she is going to sell you her products, just like CND does
I haven't seen any company out there do what she does on her web site, for FREE!
She gives FREE products , just for you, cuz you ordered from TT.
Right now she has FREE sugar scrub, & a new TT brush (which btw, is the best ever brush!!)
I don't care if she wears a clown hat, & has smoke coming out her ear, she is # 1!! We, here in the USA >>>LOVE TT

TT Tech & Proud of it! :smack:

LMAO now THAT would be something great to see in a nail demo! Not having watched any of her vids I can't comment, but we all have different styles and life would be so dull if we were all the same. I guess when you make an educational video then you have to reach people of all abilities so it must be very difficult to get it right for everyone.

Anyway I see that Victoria (aka Val lol!) has had the question answered and I think it was more about the style of the video rather than the skill. Sounds like TT has a get fan base in The States, it's only been recently introduced to the UK though.

I guess when I posted to say that I have ALL of her educational videos, I should have said that they are straight to the point and she is doing the demo herself so her hands are busy putting product on and she does not "talk" with her hands in the videos.
And I have to second what Carolina4TT had to say....you get the best EVERYTHING from TT Nails. I started out in beauty school using TT and that is all I will use (and yes I have tried almost everything out there.......all those free samples....tried and knew that I would not be using anything except TT for all my clients). And TT is not just an acrylic system....she has everything from lotions, to polish and polish remover, files and everything you need to have a successful business, plus all the education you want.

THANKS SASSY!

Yes, I do understand that it's hard to get it right for everyone and I'm a 'special bird' ROFL

HAHA re: "Val" (ever since school, no one gets it right, veronica, virginia, etc lol I really DON'T understand why haha)

YES TT does have a huge following. And I respect that, which is why I checked out her site as well as Creative's.
I want to say I apologize for any misunderstanding if anyone took me the wrong way. I really wasn't 'dissing' TT's skills etc. Only saying her vid's made me nuts
BUT it's a great relief to hear that her instructional vid's kick butt and that there's no hand fluttering because I AM very interested.

 all around.

Oh my god Victoria, I have just been thinking the same thing. I have been watching some of her videos today and I kept thinking what is with the hands. They never ever stop. She is good though, but the hand waving has definitely got to go.
xxxxxxxx

I definately agree - when I looked at some of the videos this morning i ended up turning them off as they were getting on my Piggin nerves!

Mind you - it reminds me of some of the threads on here that i logged out of before i got to the end of them! Not happened for a while though so I think we are all getter better at getting to the point!
