hey

I set up as self employed in November, would i need to do a tax return this January?
or do i do it next January 2019 when iv been working a full year?

im so confused as i have never done this before

You submit a tax return for this coming April.
I would suggest you have a good read of the government website about tax for the self employed. It's very informative and clear to understand.

If you haven't already, then you need to register on their website as being self employed. Then you will get your unique tax reference (UTR) and a log in to your account with them.

You could of course find yourself an accountant to help you with all this.
