Well, it could be worse.. Someone could call you "Boom-boom" or "Tweakies", or "monkey butt" or "wee evil", or "hooligan" or or or or or etc...
Yes, I use those "terms of endearments. That's how I talk to my kids LOL:lol:
Day before yesterday, I had a client (also a friend) over for her rebalance. I had squeezed her into my schedule when kids were about, but she didn't mind because I was doing her a favour and they're quite good about staying in their playroom when I'm working.
Anyway, they had gotten a bit rowdy, and I hollered out "Evil #1 & Evil #2" and they answered "Yes Momma"... She bust a gut laughing.
I have used 'hun' and 'luv' for years. Learned it from my Nana who is from over the pond where most of you are. For me, it is an endearment, used to mean that you are more than an acquaintance to me. I 'care' about you.
Now if someone over this side of the pond calls you a babe or a chick, THAT is considered patronizing.
How funny is that?
I do understand though. Sometimes, certain words can be annoying. I HATE being called "Maam".
HEY!! I'm not THAT old yet!!!
