Opinions on the treatwell website ?

There should be quite a lot come up if you use the search function (put in Wahanda as well).

It is good if you're trying to build up your clientele but the way to make it work for you is that after their first visit you encourage them to book with you directly.

Some people like the ease of booking any time they like or prepayment but they can do this through my website.

It is also good as it comes up fairly high on Google so your name gets out there.

Bad points are that they take 20% + vat of your treatment price and if you get a no show they don't pay you. I think it goes on the clients record.

The client can pay you or pay Treatwell. If they pay Treatwell you will get an invoice and the money put directly into your bank. They wait until a client pays through them and takes anything they are owed out of that payment so you need to keep an eye on what they are owed so you don't get a shock.

You have to keep your online diary with them updated all the time because they are really difficult if you reject a booking. The best thing to do in that instance would be to phone the client and see if you could rearrange the appointment.

I have their app on my phone to keep my diary updated. When they take a booking I get a text and email and if I don't confirm within a few days they will call to check.

All in all I would say it's great as a start up point but once you start getting busy it wouldn't be worth your while. You can keep your listing but refuse online bookings so you still get the advertising though x

It's bought a lot of clients my way and majority have returned and book direct with us. I just make sure I block out my diary on a daily basis to ensure no double bookings and also set it so there is a minimum of 12 hours before they can get a slot so basically they can't book an appt for the same day as I often get walk ins and don't want to get caught out!
I also only let treatwell clients book no more than 15 days in advance as I prefer to offer my premium slots to clients that book direct with me and to use treatwell to fill gaps. The widget they put on your website & fb page has been great and they only charge 50p per widget booking. My clients love using it as they are often busy at work in the day and don't get time to call so that has been the best bit for me!

Thank you. I've read too that they charge a sign up fee but I can't find how much it is. Is this still the case?

Spoke to my account manager last night. New salons will be charged 35 % for first visit. Then 2% for further visits. All my clients book through me second time around so did that !

Oh, so it isn't 20% anymore for new clients? And, thank you. I appreciate your help!

My post has been changed ? I never wrote the last sentence. I cancelled my Treatwell account as I had nothing but trouble with them. That is what I wrote ?
