Hey everyone,

I spent about an hour last night ordering loads of free stuff from vistaprint.

The total saved comes to £56 BUT on the next page the p&p is £16.18  (and that's for the slow 21 days service).

Is it normal for p&p to cost this much or have I messed up?

I've not used Vistaprint personally since learning about their little scam, but it doesn't surprise me that their P & P is so high. I guess they have to make their money somehow!

Are you sure that is just p&p? I know when I go on to get my 'freebies' I always end up a little shocked at the checkout but I always upload my own pictures which they charge for. Re-check your invoice and see what they have actually charged for.

Had already double checked everything to make all items were free. Noticed they charged £2.99 for the FREE pen so emptied that out of the cart. Went through to checkout again & they're still charging loads for p&p.

I can only think it's becasuse I went through the same email link each time for the freebies so have been charged p&p several times over.

It's not just P&P, it usually includes some production charges... the product it's self is free but they still charge for setting up and running the print.. that kind of thing.

Even still, I find them to be excellent value and the orders I've placed seem to arrive a lot sooner than they say.

Vistaprint do seem to make their money from p+p on the freebies but when items are on offer you will find the post cheaper. Also I have left items in my cart and the price can go up and down throughout the day so keep checking over a couple of days and grab the goods when you feel you have a bargain. I use them and find them fantastic and cheaper than anywhere so no complaints. Make sure you check exactly what you are printing I got some Xmas cards but forgot to remove the Vistaprint web address off the back, the cards were free so I can re order.

I think it depends on what you order i ordered 250 business cards,50 postcards,25 brouchures, car door magnet and window decal and the postage was about £9.71 that also includes VAT tbh i think i got a bargin there as i got all that for under £10 x

P&P is always high with vista print. I think that is how they recoup some money from their offers. I order from them and it it is still cheaper than the local printers including p&p.

The more you order the more the postage, I ordered about 5 seperate items last week and my postage was abouy £7. Yet if I just ordered some return address labels its about £1.70

I don't mind paying the postage as it still works out a lot cheaper than going to the printers !

Considering the amount you save on products, the postage is ok. A friend was looking at ordering 2000 business cards through a standard printer. Through Vistaprint he could order 10 000 for the same price with postage.

Well, as you appear to be getting £56 worth of stuff for £16, I wouldn't actually call it that bad....sorry!

I know it's not that bad & I'm not a cheap skate (honest) but usually geeks are raving on about how cheap even the p&p is so didn't want to be diddled.

As it happens, when I went to check out the order yesterday most of the prices had gone up so they wanted £27 plus p&p (not sure how much though for that).

Phoned them up & got the products free but I think she must have processed the order with a faster p&p service as it ended up costing £25 in total. Still not a bad deal.

Had another email today with loads more freebies so perhaps will try the little & often approach.

I usually order things every 6 weeks and spend £12 on p&p but get:

100 postcards
250 biz cards
25 leaflets
1 pen
10 gift vouchers with envelopes
1 door sign (see through thing, can't thing what they are called)

The door sign is called a window sticker I think!!.. the P&P is priced because of the weight of the free products you have ordered. hth x

I have used vistaprint manytimes and have been happy with them, but I am curious to know what is their little scam???

It's something to do with taking money out of your account without your permission. Several geeks have posted about it, and certainly my neighbour got caught with it too.

If you sign up for Vistaprint Rewards, it's at the very end of the process after you've paid, there is a monthly charge of £9.95. It's clearly stated in the t&c's and is certainly not obligatory to complete. It's not a scam, it's people who don't read all the details who get caught out.

I use Vistaprint, I find them incredible value for money and not 'dodgy' at all.

Ah, I see! Thanks for the info!
:)

VistaPrint may seem like very good value on the service but unfortunately I have fallen prey to their little scam.

I noticed this first when I saw a recurring Visa transaction on my bank statement for £9.95 from a company called VPRewards.com. I put the name onto Google and that is when I realised that I had been duped. Apparently when you order your products from Vista Print they offer a £10 discount which of course most people would want. What is not clear is that they then sign you up to join VPRewards.com and you agree to pay £9.95 a month for this so called Reward scheme. I do not recall doing this and judging by the amount of people that have also fallen into this trap, it does make me wonder if it obvious when you sign up to Vista Print!

I called the number, explained the situation and VPRewards have said that they will cancel my subscription and refund my £9.95. We shall see next month if this happens. I have also cancelled my Visa Card, which the bank have said still offers no guarantees that they won't be able to debit more money. All this hassle, just for a few business cards. I will not be using Vista Print again, which is a shame as their products are pretty good. I will be using another website www.goodprint.co.uk in the future.
