I get most of mine from seller pmd07 on eBay...they have some of the best. I find the thinner the foil, the better it is to work with! The one I used was just a big standard gold foil xx

Do you have link to the foils from this seller? I tried searching by name but no joy :-(

L&p glitter French and one stroke..
I really wanted to do a French but it's hard on my own nails, so I tried to do the reverse technique but found it difficult guessing where the smile line should begin 😕

CND Co-Founder #JanArnold is rocking this AMAZING manicure at the International Salon and Spa Expo, created by CND Education Ambassador Shelena Robinson!

Pros- to replicate the look, follow these step-by-steps:

Apply Retention™ + Liquid and Powder and clear Perfect Color Powder.
Apply two layers of CND Shellac™ in Overtly Onyx and cured each layer for two minutes.
Apply a layer of CND Shellac™ Top Coat and cure for 2 minutes.
Remove top film with 99% IPA.
To create the matte finish, buff with the green side of the glossing board or block and clean the nail with IPA to remove dust.
Dispense a small amount of CND Shellac™ Top Coat and use a fine detail brush to create the desired pattern.
Cure for 2 minutes and remove top film with IPA to reveal the contrasting matte and shiny finish.

So the foil stuck to some of the black shadow pattern but also to the base too :-/ xx

The base should be dry either by wiping inhibition layer or covering with additives - then the foil shouldn't stick to base

Ready for Valentine's Day here are a few I've done over the weekend. All created with CND Shellac. ImageUploadedBySalonGeek1390769273.296166.jpgImageUploadedBySalonGeek1390769379.728738.jpgImageUploadedBySalonGeek1390769389.096273.jpg

If you wipe the inhibition layer then if by chance any stray foil gets on there you should be able to remove with a brush dampened with IPA. If you've gone down the additives route and get some stray foil you'll have to start over as the additives will come off if you try to remove the stray foil.

Not sure if I've made any sense!!

I take it all the way to Top Coat (cure, then cleanse) then put my design on top. This way the foil should only stick to design. Or like Ladybird suggests, wipe colour coat or burnish additives in and design on top x
