Spag bol... have you ever tried putting marmite in it? It doesn't make the sauce taste like marmite, it just makes the flavour that bit deeper. Ooh, yum - if I wasn't so full of cake, I'd be having spaghetti for tea!
Think that would be great. I use the knorr red wine and beef stock pots. They are so rich you don't need to cook your own stock beforehand X

Marmite in everything at our house! It's fab in a home made gravy - it's got the same sweet but salty taste that the caramelised meat juices from a roast joint has...

Currently debating whether I have enough room to fit in a slice of buttered toast with marmite ;)

Your making me want to get my slow cooker out I haven't seen it for months
You should. It's not just a winter hearty meal thing. It's so easy when we are working and I've been feeling bad as mine were eating processed crap as I was busy or tired.
I've had a reality check this week!

I think I sense a marmite-au-natural hater lol. But yeah, a teaspoonful hidden in stuff here and there works wonders. Cottage pie? Oh yeah. Stew? Get it in there! Chorizo in red wine? What are you waiting for?!

Sorry. I think I've just realised I might like Marmite almost as much as I like glitter :D

My absolute guiltiest pleasure? A digestive biscuit, spread with marmite and smothered with cheddar, microwaved for 20-30 seconds.

I feel dirty just typing it.

Yes same species, Sardinus pilchardus lol I kid you not
The pilchards are older and bigger

I like sardines pilchards sounds like an old name lol hello pilchard

I've never had sardines in toast! Always went for pilchards.

I agree, pilchards sounds like a wartime food lol
Sardines sounds Mediterranean and lush

Well sort of lol

Absolutely annoyed to the max
I'm fed up with my daughters eating. She is so fussy but I'm at the end of my sanity
Tonight I made meatballs with pasta. Meatballs were plain and just oven baked as I know she will freak out if they had sauce on them and she still refused to even try one. Honestly it just tastes like a burger. The crying the sobs then the whole on the floor antics begun. All I wanted was her to try one and then decide if she didn't like it. Is that too much to ask for a 5 year old? I wasn't giving in I got the fork and shoved a tiny bit of the meatball in her mouth. Then came the coughing and heaving sounds with tears and screams.. Well I'm not her mummy no more. And during this episode my 13 year old was siding with her and telling me to stop
Bullying her. Nice support [emoji30]

My five year old step son is the same with food. He's too scared to try anything and starts whining and crying. It's irritating and frustrating. I don't know what the answer is. I've started getting him to help me make dinner, so he sees what goes into food, I've noticed he eats a lot more this way and there's less tears and whimpering. Maybe try that?

And they don't get to help make it again unless they eat some (or at least try)

Chinese is on the menu tonight!
