Call from police about advertising

Just had a call like this today and if it wasn't for SG I wouldn't have had a clue it could be a scam. As he was speaking a vaguely recalled this thread and said thanks but no thanks! Lucky escape.

I had this when I 1st opened it is a scam, I said no but they sent me a sample anyway still said no but then got a bill when I called to say I'm not paying they dud not really argue with me and then I said about wanting one of these mags so I can see it they told me I don't have to pay and they will cancel the invoice. X

All I can say is I went with a police magazine last year and we had some good responses to it

I read a thread on here recently which basically said 'you choose yourself where is appropriate for you to advertise, not from an unsolicited phone call'. I have just started another business non related to beauty and I'm getting bombed at the mo. Tell em all to jog on x
