I was fat once, to me. It was hard for me and I didn't like it.
I wasn't enormous by no means but I'm only 5"3 so when you put a few ounces on you DO look fat. To yourself.
You have to do whatever feels right for you.
I've been bigger and now am a bit thinner but it doesn't mean I'm any happier.
Think about it.
You are YOU no matter what your body size is!!
It doesn't change who you are in your heart x

Chelle Just responding to the question you quoted me on hun,
Sure most women would probably jump at the chance to opt for a gastric band rather than eating healthy and exercising ...BUT...how many would be able to afford it !!! So for most "average" women, It is not even an option, (end of reply lol )

Personally Though I am more inspired by women in real life magazines, or The slimming world and weight watchers mags,
I have NEVER bought a fitness Dvd in my life (celeb or not) because I know for a fact, these people have had a personal trainer, and a dietitian etc...working with them..
I however would just be little me,..working up a sweat in the living room,
I have considered buying them, but then the reality kicks in...and I know I wouldn't get the results they have gotten.

And as for her promoting Ryvita in the adverts....
I choose not to believe Davina mccoll really uses the hair colour she advertises, as I don't believe others get their "fresh faced 50 years old looking 30) look from a high street store lotion and that alone etc....


As I said I know she is in the public eye, and makes her money from doing so...BUT..Nail technicians make their money from doing peoples nails....doesn't mean we have to do them 24 hours a day,
Everyone should be entitled to a break IMO..

And as I also said I CAN understand why people are upset, but this is my personal opinion on the subject.

Veering away slightly from Fern. ...why do we fall for the things celebs promote i do it myself on and off.I went out and actually bought Davina Macalls watermellon red hair once ,it was awful on me.
Its a fact that a celeb endorses a product or diet etc and depending on their status depends on how the sales go isnt it weird ..and we arn't stupid im sure we have all done it ..that cream,perfume and definately the exercise dvd.

i'm a short arse and a size 14, so can look a porker but hey god willing i'm happy and healthy ! i'm going to a funerel tommorow, a friend of mine (42) died last week and i know she would love to be here moaning about something as trivial as being a couple of stone overweight or a gastric band

My skin isn't what it was at 18 guess but it's not so bad.

when i read about a celeb who uses XYZ i think Mmmm must be good...then reality kicks in and i think Mmmm they are getting paid to say..quote...endorse that and have probably never used it. :green:

if you comfortable in your own skin flower - thats all that counts

now me - ive gone from size 10 to 14 - do i care - of course i do - but i aint getting a dvd that a celeb done - just to show me how to sweat my **** off and am in pain the following day - thats not me at all - ill lose the weight when i WANT TO

That last comment, "I am what I am ", reminds me of the first song sang by Gloria Gaynor, whilst entering stage on friday night at her concert .
I had the shock of my life, A large framed lady with an arthritic hip came painfully walking on stage.
Poor Gloria,her head shot in my local echo was very flattering. I was truly expecting a beautiful slender vibrant middleage lady. Tina Turner like person , but! omg, she looked exactly how i felt tired, old, fat, and in pain.
As the show progress her joints had loosened up she looked a little bit in less pain. until she went missing of stage to leave her band to entertain us, she reappeared a good 10 minutes later, with a comfy pair of pump style shoes, now that's what I call sensible.
fabulous voice though.
So even the rich and famous, are'nt perfect, and they have the money. for lap band and plastic surgery.
So I'm starting my diet for the hundreth time, tomorrow, and this time will I succeed. i don't really think so. But you got to still got on believing.

I remember for days years ago myself and my workmates doing the jane fonda tape with the book.We did it religously and then one by one all ended up at the osteopath where he said he was very grateful to her because he had never been so busy.
