I was given some advice on waxing by my Creative trainer - she said to get the client to lay face down first & wax all you can at the back & when you turn them over there's hardly much left to do. I tried it & it works really well.

I hate full leg waxing too - gives me a helluva back ache!

It's so good to see that I'm not alone in this!!!!

I get really messy too and just end up wanting to crawl into a hole by the end of it!!!!
I think we should all start a boycott on the full leg wax - maybe it will die out and clients will forget it ever existed!!!!

Wow

Why had I never thought of doing it this way.

I always find that clients find having their shin waxed the most painful part of the leg wax. Doing it this way means that this area would be near the end. I will definately try this next time.

is roller wax ok to use on the upper part of the leg above the knees? xx

I don't see why not. Roller wax is just a different method / technique of applying the wax to the skin.

Why do you have concerns about this ?

i was trained never to return a used spatular to the wax pot, to avoid cross contamination.
i find this keeps my wax really clean and has obvious hygiene benefits for my clients.
however, when i'm doing larger areas like full leg or backs, i am going through spatulars at an alarming rate because they're not very big and you can only get a bit of wax on with each one.. is there any way of using those bigger spatulars without returning them to the pot ?

Dont you ony need to do this if any fluid has been drawn from the area being waxed e.g. under arms and bikini? Dont tend to get any fluid being drawn from the legs.

If you feel you need to not re-used any spatulars then why not invest in roll on system or the PHD tube type - supposed to be the most hygenic way (and probably cheaper too)!

we were taught this method with all areas.

I always wear gloves for legs, bikini, under arm. If the gloves get sticky (which they do) I just rub them together with some after wax and they are fine to carry on. Never need to change gloves mid treatment. hth x
