Great you found out, and was confirmed it wasn't you (not that I doubted that!!!) But sorry she's not able to keep enhancements on :irked:.

This has been a great and interesting post. I am pleased you have an outcome/result. Something we can all learn from. Thank you VHunter and the rest of you Geeks for sharing and your input.

Thank you and you're welcome

maybe you forgot to use primer..

Spray tanning can stain nails and theoretically this could cause nail lifting as cuticle remover and usual wet prep will not remove tanning residue. Taking the shine off the nail properly by buffing or etching (which by the way I am not a fan of) is the only way to avoid this. I do tanning as well as nails and other things and have had this problem with both acrylic and gels not staying on. The nail, by the way, would not have to look very stained for there to be the presence of tanning solution. :)

just wondering, if the client was asked to wash her hands after cuticle remover was used, but before the final wipe of sanitiser then applying gel. Could this help to solve the cuticle remover problem?

This is NOT a cuticle remover problem. I have been using the same cuticle remover for 5years and it has NEVER posed a problem. Hands are washed at beginning of service and end, before art/polish applied.
It's not a problem with my prep, or else ALL my clients would suffer the same.

This situation was actually resolved some time ago and as it turned out, it was the REMOVER that she used to remove Hair extensions from her own client's hair that was the culprit.

She is presently wearing enhancements, while away on holiday and having no problems.

Hi VHunter
Sorry im new at this blogging, and meant the question to go to
uniq12u who was saying that using cuticle remover wasnt working for her.
It was interesting to know about the acetone used to remove hair extentions

Hi,

I have a cousin whose nails do the same thing. She has her nails done on certain occasions and have been known to lift then come off whole within a week. I have used a couple of different gels on her and acrylic. Its just normal for her. I am pretty sure it is nothing you are doing especially if you are so experienced. Its more likely to be something to do with her nails or products she uses at work.
