Go Barry M !I did my first client today with mega mix and Barry M gelly polish, she loved the colour, went on well, whilst slightly thick didn't cause problems with application, if anything it was better than some of the watery gelish colours that i have *cough* need a tan *cough*!
This client comes every 2 weeks so cant wait to see her when she comes back and it will be good to see what removal is like.
Martin: I'm worried about getting the ratio correct, what happens if there is a littel too much polish OR a little too much gel?
Mix ratio is the thing we all worry about with nails (acrylics etc) its essential in getting it right however the megamix is kinda flexible you can use a little or a lot and it will still work, its amazing how it works with even the littlest amount of gel with lots of polish but amazingly it does.
If you follow the guidelines and always try to work with a 50 50 ration you should be fine, you can't ever have too much gel the gel will work raw right out of the pit so that will never be a problem. ( only you will not achieve as good coverage)
If you mix in an excessive amount of polish it just won't cure because basically it will be all polish!!! It would crinkle in the lamp (which is why you need to apply it thinly) in the same way that gelish or shellac crinkles if you apply it too thickly )
It's a little bit of trial and error and you seem to have done great on your first attempt so just keep doing what you did.
You just need to ensure there is enough product on the nail (strength) and you will be fine
