My order was shipped last Tuesday, and arrived on Thursday so you should have plenty of time to get some practising done
A couple of extra tips to follow Carla-laa's great advice
If your image isn't picking up as crisply as you like, try changing your pick up method. I've got about 6 stampers and they all behave differently! Some prefer to be rolled over the image and some like to be stamped directly down, and they all need different pressures...
Once the image is on the stamper, you can remove anything you don't want before stamping on the nail - just use the flat side of your scraper to pick up any undesired bits (accidental splodges/images from a nearby section of the plate etc.).. I learnt this from Sarah R and it's an invaluable little trick!
I mainly use gel polish, and always stamp over the topcoat. This makes it really easy to clean off an image that hasn't gone right - just a little bit of acetone free remover and it'll wipe straight off. This is a handy method when practising or testing new stampers as it cuts down the number of pop sticks used - just rinse and repeat

On my own nails, I seal my stamping with regular topcoat rather than gel polish so I can change the design as often as I like, without affecting the underlying manicure.
Last one - a lint roller is a great tool to have for cleaning your stamper between uses.
Hope this helps - and happy stamping!
PS You prime a stamper by gently buffing the surface with a file. You shouldn't need to do this with a clear stamper though, because it'll stop it from being transparent! I'd definitely recommend the lint roller for clean up, because acetone can also affect the transparency of a stamper head.
