Hi guys, ok update... I have brought the cnd shellac lamp, revised my prep and application and still having problems, have done 3 diff ladies, all not lasting more than 3 days! Only thing I haven't changed is instead of scrub fresh using a basic sanitiser wiping the nail and opi cuticle remover, surely these two things can't be what's doing it.

Maybe I'm outing it on too thick but doesn't look likely once I've finished.

Any more advice? Starting to really get to me now. Does anyone know how much the shellac courses are? Can't seem to find any prices online.

Thanks

Hello! Right, first things first: yes, you need to use Cuticle Away, as other cuticle removers may leave a residue that affects the adhesion of the Shellac. Cuticle Away is by far the best-value product in my kit though - take a look at the price from Sweet Squared, I think you will be very pleasantly surprised (and a bottle lasts AGES!). Scrubfresh is another essential too - it not only sanitises the nail plate, but is a temporary dehydrator, that leaves behind pathogen-fighting agents on the nail. Seriously brilliant stuff and (the crucial bit) it is designed to work with the CND Shellac system.

As luck would have it, Sweet Squared have a new Essentials Prep pack: this contain a full-sized CoolBlue, CuticleAway and Scrubfresh and gives a discount of 28% off RRP! You can find it here: http://www.sweetsquared.com/Welcome/Essentials-Prep-Pack-3

As for the 3-hour Shellac classes, they are fabulous value for money - I will PM you the price. xx

Hi, ok thankyou for that and for your message
I'll order the other bits then, it's just surprising me as I know of two other therapists that are using shellac and they are not using everything correctly but their shellac is lasting.

I'll try and find a training day near me too as that's really reasonable.

Thankyou for your help, fingers crossed this works this time.

phone sweet squared and find a course near you hun, its not much money and i think you will learn lots.....shellac isnt like "other gels" as it is not a gel. are yur layers thin enough, the first layer should look patchy even its that thin?

are you still buffing the nail?this is not necessary, scrubfresh is enough.

its best not to mix systems products as they have been formulated to work together, a lot of science is involved in these products and any step that you miss out or mix will effect in service breakdown. the only thing i always use is scrubfresh no matter the system! it really is a brilliant product.

I dont really think any of us on here can truly help you as we need to see what you are doing, give sweet squared a call and get booked on!!

good luck
