:grr: Head ! Wall ! Banging ! Against !

I am unsure where I said this tan had a) a secret ingrediant or b) it would suit everyone????

Nothing can have a 'secret ingediant' as everything has to legally be listed on the bottle.

Kate

This might help...page two 14th posting down....your words

"How it works is by in large a secret, i do know but would be in heaps of trouble for telling! Sorry! I can say its designed by biochemists and not your average spray tan manufacturer!! "

HTH :wink2:

OH MY GOD!!!! Which bit of that says its a secret 'INGREDIANT'! I have just been told not to say the principles of how it works faster!

As I keep repeating myself!

My god its not hard to read what I have written and the fact you have time on your hands to pick a bit of text that does not prove a point is rather shameful on your part really.

lol ....my time is my time...this as many of your other comments are getting a tad personal so I will have to leave you with it Kate:wink2:

Getting back to the original topic :)eek::eek::eek:) I would love to be able to offer a shorther developing tan. Any other feedback from independant spray techs who have tried it would be greatfully received.

Well I've tried it on myself and a client whose opinion I value greatly, and I'll be placing an order for Aviva Express very soon indeed xx

I have always told my clients to wait at least 6 hours before having a shower, over the last few months I have been testing how far I can 'push it' without it affecting the tan....I have tried this on myself mainly but on several close friends/regular clients as well. We can leave the solution on for 2 hours, wash it off as normal and it develops just the same as it would if it were left on for the recommended time. I still tell clients to leave it on for at least 4 hours just to be on the safe side but I do mention to regulars that they can wash it off a little sooner if they wish....they love the fact that they get the same result without leaving it on so long.

Have you tried testing out your current solution to see if it still develops correctly if you wash it off earlier?? I used to always wait the recommended time or sleep in it over night, then I just started to knock half an hour each time and so far so good!

Now please don't all jump on me!! I'm not suggesting it will work for everyone or with every solution....i'm just saying that my little experiment is working well so far!

xx  xx

Oh thats interesting! How did you find the colour etc? Did you leave it the 1 hour, or 3 hours? Thanks for any info x

Good for you for being confident enough to experiment.

This is the whole point that I have been trying to make here.....we ALL have different development times dependent on our individual reaction to solutions.

Take any solution brand and spray 10 people...they will all take different times for their tans to develop...some (like me) will start the development process almost immediately and you can actually watch the tan develop in front of your eyes...this means that I would be able to wash the initial colour guide off far earlier (without the risk of loosing the tan)than someone else who's development time is much slower and who will loose further development of the tan by showering early.

The guideline us manufacturers give is a general one and not set in stone...they act on the side of caution allowing the maximum amount of time to cater for everyone from fast developers to those that take much longer.

Take the claims of say brand "x" who may say their tans develop in 1 hr...this is something that simply will not apply to everyone.

Take my case in point on my own development time...I could use any solution on the market and would start developing a tan almost immediately whilst someone else could or would take longer.

Its a bit like saying if you sunbathe on the left hand side of the beach you will get a much faster tan than those on the right hand side.....what you have to look at is the "specific" development time of each and every individual.

Hello Skin Geeks,
I have tried the Express after receiving a sample quite quickly. I was quite excited and had been pale for a week or so wanting to make sure no old product build up would cause probs.
I sprayed in the morning and it went on very different to my usual solutions, splattered a bit, I use an airbrush so twaeked the settings on compressor and airbrush and went with the flow. It didn't dry instantly, not much different really to the solution I mostly use, but tbh that is why I use it, it dries fairly quickly. I left it on for about 4 hrs, mainly because I was busy with a tan party and couldn't get back earlier.
I already had a natural tan on my arms and face but legs were lily white, after the Express tan my arms and face looked the equivalent of a 10% tand but my legs were TANGO'D.
Too dark for a light skin, should have washed it off sooner lol.

Anyway, the tan was nice but faded very quickly, I havent used any different soaps or shower gels, moisturisers etc.

I wonder if it might be as I saw on another post that if you wash it off sooner it doesn't last as long.
I saw a regular client the next day after my express tan and told her about the express she seemed VERY keen but when I showed her my tan line she was disappointed, she like to tan dark so I don't thimk it goes dark enough, on me anyway.

Wil try it again, the solution does go a long way, I think I can get another tan out of my sample as soon as my legs arent orange any more.

Now for something on a more serious note....
I don't post for a couple of weeks, come back and find that you kids have NOT been playing nicely at all. Naughty step springs to mind!!!!:smack:

Regards
Nikki

Thanks for all that info. Im a mediumish skin tone so I think I will try just the hour with me. Tango is not the look Im going for!

With regard to my usual tan solutions, (I use 3 brands at the mo) I know for sure that they would not have the desired effect if I left them on just an hour:eek: I have tried this on me, my sis in law and another reg client, (I am the queen of trying things out, lol) and none of us got the usual tan colour. Def was worth a go though! Trial and error as they say:)

Placed my order for Aviva Express this morning. VERY excited. It worked on pasty old me in 60 minutes and worked on an olive-skinned client in 3 hours - both of us very impressed with the colour and even mine lasted a good few days xx
