Hi all, i’m doing some training at the moment to help me set up a mobile nail and (partial) beauty business as I now have a little one and my job from before isn’t an option.
I’m not from this industry and have completed a couple of one day courses and now a CND shellac course, my question is ..., are the wholesaler courses that give you the ability to become insured any good?

Going to college to do a level 2 isn’t really an option due to little one and money at the moment.
I’ve had some people say one day courses / specific brand courses are better, as you get better training and others feel that a level 2 would be best.

Would like some opinions on what to do .

Thank all !

If you plan to offer all the level 2 treatments eventually, then I would suggest you do the full level 2 and get it all done in one go. The units overlap so you can achieve a lot in a short space of time - assessments, written work, A&P etc.
Don't underestimate the importance of having a tutor with you the whole time when you are learning and practising your treatments, little corrections to your skills as you progress will make you a better therapist long term.
A level 2 beauty course at College for a mature learner (age 19+) is often only 12 hours per week and generally there is funding to help depending on your previous education level and current financial status. When timetabling a course for mature learners, the hours are mindful of school hours. The students age 16 to 19 will be in a different group to you generally on a full time study programme.
Definitely pop in to your local college to find out the precise costs and hours.
