I have mentioned time and again, that last time I did it I lost 5 stone (gained 3 back) and had NO life for a year. But this time, I've lost/gained/lost/gained and been really a bit crap with it all. But I've lived and I suppose that's how it should be. Although I WANT to get there quicker, my life, isn't about sitting in every night and eating rice cakes, it's going out on the booze and eating biscuits - sadly!!

That's not to say, I've been gutted nearly every time I didn't lose and wished I'd tried harder. But I guess it's a balance with what's important.

I too have so much going on, it's easy for me to take comfort in food and then be really cross with myself for having no willpower and then eating to make myself feel better. So it's a vicious circle.

However, you've been doing brilliantly, and it's ok I think to have a blip. And you're right the cold is definitely affecting the willpower levels.

I hope you make the decision that's best for you. I will give up for a while, if I don't lose this week, as it's just so disheartening :-( and I know I'm not giving it 100%.

Hi Everyone

I lost 2.5lb this week!

Total loss to date 37lbs.

I can relate so much to what some of you are saying about the colder weather and being a bit more hungry. Its so hard too when you dont see the loss at the scales. I feel better now i'm starting to loose again. Just booked a girlie long weekend away in January so thats making me stay on track for now especially as the old swim suit will be getting dusted off :eek: :eek: :eek:

Keep going ladies, so hard at this time of year i know!

Well ladies I'm smiling this week, I was v v good all week but then had a v naughty weekend and still managed to lose 1lb :D.

8.5lbs to go in the 6 weeks to Xmas...hoping I can do it if I stick to eating my weeklies once a week rather than 3 or 4 times lol xxx
 
Hi ladies.... Lost a lb last week and stayed the same this week... Still half lb off my first stone grrrrr! I have had a weekend away so I kind of know why I haven't had a loss but only went over my weeklies a little and was under my daily's all week so thought I would at least loose a half!

On the upside though, at least I didn't put on and being on ww stopped me from going too crazy!!

Right this week I mean business :)

Don't be disheartened Nixie, I normally find if I've been pretty good but haven't lost as much as I expected I have a bigger loss the week after xxx
 
Well work this out for me please ladies lol

I got weighed at 9am today, & weighed 12st 5lb

Then got weighed again at 2pm & weighed 12st 3lb

So which do I weigh? LOL

I got weighed twice this afternoon to double check! & both weighed 12st 3lb but yet this morning I was 12st 5lb arrgghhhhh

P.s - I weighed on the exact same scales in the same clothes etc..

Did you not know that you weigh more in the morning than you do at night?

It is a fact that if you weigh in the morning and then again at night there will be a few lbs difference. The reasoning behind it is that your food eaten at night before bed sits in you stomache and turns to fat where as the food you eat in the morning and at dinner time are burned off by your daily activity so that you weigh less in the evening than you did in the morning.

This is why when dieting you should only weigh once a week, AT THE SAME TIME, using the same scale and wearing the same clothing (preferably no clothes).

I don't weigh at home, I go to the scales at boots 5 minutes from my house, I weighed this morning at 9am & was 12st 5lb & then 4 hours later forgot I needed milk so popped to the shop which is accross the road from boots so 4 hours later at 1pm I got weighed again (obsessed.com lol) & was 2 lb lighter weighing in at 12st 3lb, the only thing I did between the weigh ins today was drink 1 litre of water & wee A LOT lol

So shall I take the lower weight then or the higher weight? Don't want to cheat or anything.

I've calmed down weighing myself, was every day now once a week, today was just a one off weighing twice in 4 hours :D x

P.s baggy bear I'd love to weigh in naked but I think I'd probs get some strange looks off the people picking up prescriptions lol,

I just weigh in in the same clothes each week, leggings & a vest top no weight to them, I don't wear a bra though! No one can see my boobs thru a vest top so why not lol x

Obviously if your weighing in public you need to wear clothes and it is good that you always wear the same clothes as that will help to give you a more acurate idea of any changes in your weight.

What time of day do you usually weigh in?

I weigh in at lunchtime (before I eat lol), therefore I would take the lower of the 2 results as it was taken closest to my weighing in time but if I weighed in the mornings then I would take the higher weight. Hope that makes sense.

I always use the same scales, in the same place, I try to weigh within a 2 hour time slot and I weigh naked as I am at home and nobody can see me. :Scared:
 
I've just checked the times on all my weight tickets over the last couple of months & they are all different times, lol I can only get out as & when bcos of work so can't stick to set weigh times, some weigh ins are morning some are dinner time, think ill buy some scales & weigh at home same time each week, for more accurate reading.

Hmm now which weigh in to take for today ? Might just go for the lower x

Evening All,

Not weighed tonight people, spent all night with my wee girl in our A & E she was vomiting for hours and came out in a scary rash, turns out she has an acute kidney infection. Never got home until the sun was coming up this morning so I am shattered.com! Poor we soul, she is proper poorly and I just cant face leaving her to be weighed tonight so it will have to keep till next week.

If I had to guess I might have lost a 1lb tops. Ive had a good week but went out for a curry on sat night and I was fairly good apart from the onion bhaji I scoffed that was the size of a watermelon lol.

Lush Lash you made me chuckle when you said about being obsessed with weighing yourself, we are all the same I think.

1lb on this week :sad:, although after my blow out weekend I'm surprised it wasn't more. Now Ive got until 8th December before my next do so its game on for me!!!

Yay finally made my first stone!! Nine weeks and a steady pace.... I treasure my weeklies and have had fun along the way :)

Now for the next one....aiming for another half by crimbo.

Good luck ladies..... I'm going to start looking for WW friendly mincepies.... Is there such a thing??
