Its my first time doing Weight Watchers, I joined a month ago, and ive lost half a stone already! I love it but you have to stick to it to see the benefits! I have had a really bad weekend so dreading weigh in day but hoping to get back on it this week. x

Id like to do the weightwatchers diet but don't want to join a club.
Some of you mentioned you are doing it without joining, how do you know what to eat?

I used a site that allowed me to input my details and work out my daily point allowance:
WeightWatchers Daily ProPoints Target Calculator

Then I got a free app on my android phone which calculates how many pro points are in anything with the nutritional info on them and it also tracks how many points I've used in a day so I know how many points I have left. It's called WWPP Calculator (WWPP standing for Weight Watchers Pro Points).

I've found now when working out the points it's important to check the values on a calculator as things can be a bit weird, 1 of my sausages is 3 points, but 2 are 5 points. To work it out I input the values per sausage on the pack, for 2 I times the numbers on the pack by 2 and input these numbers. I've found many things that need this method of working out as it's the only way to know for sure how many points are in 2/3/4 etc..

Remember all fresh/frozen or tinned fruit & veg is free.
**Tinned fruit must be in juice & then drained not in syrup :wink2: & spuds have points.**

You also have the 49 weekly points that can be used a bit at a time or saved up and used on 1 day in that week, daily points can't be rolled over though so daily's are either used or are gone.

Then if you search the net you will always find the pro points value for stuff that doesn't have any nutritional info on it - like spuds and egss etc..

Just search the food name and pro points (eggs pro points) and there will be a few posts to check the details but I've got an answer for all foods I've needed to check so far.

Hoping to start weight watchers in a couple of weeks, I done the old plan a couple of year ago...what's the new one like? :)
 
Yay I can join this thread! :D I joined Ww this morning!! Need to loose a stone .. A stone and a half would be brilliant .. It's crept on over this past year so this morning I was like enough I'm gonna do it!!! Really wanna stick at it!! Been good today tho :) amazing to see how many geeks out there are doing it! :) xxx

I think find it a bit easier than the old plan but it's not that different really.

I like that I can have however much fruit & veg as I want free of points. I always thought that it was weird to have to count fruit as it's meant to be good for you lol.

yes the counting the fruit and beg in the old plan was strange, well will be starting next weds as there isn't a meeting on this week as it's a holiday where I am, which is annoying i'm desperate to get going!
 
Well you could use the information I posted on the previous page to get you started and then join a group next week.

I'm sure if you have any problems/questions we could help you on here.

Thanks for asking, I'm off track, came back from turkey 7 days ago & finding it really difficult to get back with it, so annoying as I did really well before I went.

I've just bought superdrug version of slim fast (cheaper lol) so I'm starting that tomorrow for 4 weeks, I worked out I've still got 42lb to lose :(

I'll get there but I'm just not sure when?! x
 
You'll lose it when you're ready to lose it, stressing yourself will only make matters worse, I also have a lot to lose, according to bmi calculator (7 stone) lol
 
Was really good today day 2 except made a corn on the cob to go with my dinner and am now 1 point over as I didn't realise they are 2 points each 😒.. Thought all fruit and veg was pointless :( ?? Anyway I've just counted it in my weeklys so it's all good :)))... X

I'm now disappointed as I checked and your right, sweetcorn, peas and broad beans have to be pointed :twisted:

I've been eating all fruit & veg without counting (except spuds) but I've still been losing weight so it can't be too bad lol.
